Tracy and Jonathan’s Wedding Day

The Cloth Mill on The Eno River is an awesome location for a wedding. Tracy and Jonathan were one of the early weddings at this new venue. When Tracy was 6 years old she was on a soccer team I coached.Wow! It was honored to be there for her. My secret weapon on the playing field was the most beautiful bride ever. Time sure does go by fast, it doesn’t seem that long ago remembering  those soccer days. Congratulations Tracy and Jonathan. Thank you for trusting me to capture this very special day in your new life together.

Alison & Mat’s Wedding

Some highlights from Alison & Mat’s Wedding this Saturday. It was a perfect day for a wedding and everything went so well. The service was at Howard Memorial Presbyterian Church in Tarboro ( my church) and the reception was at Myrtal Grove Plantation. One beautiful location an awesome place for a wedding. I had a chance to meet some new friends and visit with some old. I very much enjoyed talking  to one of my soccer players I coached many years ago. Let see, he is now maybe 23 and he was 5 or 6 years old back then. He still remembered the power pellets ( smarty’s ) I used to give the team right before a game. They were magic power pellets or now would be kiddy steroids . His position on the team was ” chicken wing”. Funny how kids remember the things you think go unnoticed. Makes you feel good to carve a small notch in their life’s memory banks.

I have photographed Alison many years ago as a child and captures her senior portrait. Being a family photographer is a special trust for a family to stay with you for so many years. I am looking forward to sharing all the images and special moments.

Beautiful Bride

Cold Bridesmaid

It was a cold day for a wedding but the hearts on this special day were very warm. I often don’t do wedding unless I have a chance to meet with the bride or the bride and groom before the wedding. It is important to build trust and a friendship before the wedding day so you can work together easily. This was the first wedding in a long time that I did not meet either of them.

The day worked so well and we hit is off right away. Such a fun  beautiful couple and family. Connecting with the family is so very important when you are trying to capture each and every detail you can. They have to understand what your direction is and give you the time to do exactly what needs to be done. This was a big group to get to know fast and everything worked so well.

The bride wanted some portrait images before the wedding outside and being as cold as is was we had to work fast . Whenever I have a late Winter wedding my concern is having time to capture beautiful images with as much natural light as I can. This was a tight cold window of time to get these images and she didn’t complain at all.The girls did well to run outside fast for a quick cold group pose.

The evening ended around 11:15pm. I asked the band at 10:pm how long were they going to play this evening and the reply was ” we don’t have a time”. I knew it was going to be a long night. Starting that day heading to Kinston at 12:30pm and arriving home in Tarboro at 1:am makes for a long day. Sunday we were on the road for a photography program in the Greensboro area by 9:am the next morning. I went to sleep by Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping by to check out the images. Please take a moment to like our page so I will be able to show your more special moments in the future.

It was a beautiful evening for Abigail and Stephen. Despite the rain everything was perfect. They are such a easy going and loving couple. These are a few highlight from the wedding.
